inspiration
Herman is our 1983 Commodore 64. What does a retro computer have to do with hand-built effects pedals? On the surface, very little. But if that Commodore 64 is home to an alien entity from across the Cosmos who is fascinated by audio effects, well perhaps we have all the inspiration we need. Or we’re all just a little nutty. One of these is definitely true.
Somehow the coalescence of an old C64, the mysteries of cosmic exploration and the delight of well tuned audio effects is just the recipe for a quirky effects pedal company.

Our hand-built effects pedals are inspired by the retrotech designs of the 70s and 80s, the gear that propelled us into the future. Our pedals embody the optimism and aesthetic of that era fused with modern technology from a future that was.
Classic designs
We seek to create simple, classic designs that feel instantly nostalgic.
Something new
We are keenly focused on providing something new in each pedal.
Made in Maine
All of our pedals and made in the wilds of Maine, USA. We invite you to open up your pedal’s enclosure and smell the fresh Maine air within.
Hand built
All of our pedals are hand-built in our studio by a small group of audio-obsessed humans who know a thing or two about hand-assembling electronic gadgets.
Guarantee
If your pedal ever fails you because we mucked something up, simply return it to us and we will make it right. And if it fails you because you mucked it up, send it to us anyway and we’ll do our best to fix it up.
It’s all about the sound
We are obsessed with sound. We pick our components carefully to create exactly the tone that we imagine.
